On Friday, November 4, the HSO Guild presented proceeds from the 2022 Crescen-Dough Auction to the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Association and Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Foundation. 2022 Auction chair Susi Mann presented a check to George Smith, HSOA Board Chair. Immediate past president Naomi DuBois presented a check to Foundation members Cathy Scholl and Louise Carter, who are also Guild members.

The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild’s (HSOG) annual Crescen-Dough Auction is Huntsville’s original and best auction and one of the area’s favorite evenings of fun and entertainment. More than 500 items will be yours for the bidding – from the finest of jewels to one-of-a-kind parties, great vacations and incredible deals on items donated by local merchants.

The HSOG provides generous financial and volunteer support annually to the Symphony and its educational programs. During the Guild’s 56 years of service to the Orchestra, the Guild has raised over $7 million, of which half has been raised by Crescen-Dough. Also, the Guild has volunteered in excess of 736,000 hours to support the Symphony.

These two beautiful violins will be auctioned at the 2016 Crescen-Dough Auction on April 15. They were presented at the 2016 Painted Violin Unveiling on Thursday, February 4, at Servis1st Bank, who hosted the event, sponsored by the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra. The violins were painted by artist Sara Beth Fair of Huntsville and musician Béla Fleck of Nashville. The 42nd Annual Crescen-Dough Auction took place on Friday, April 17, 2015. The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild’s annual Crescen-Dough Auction is one of the area’s favorite evenings of fun and entertainment. More than 500 items were up for bidding – from the finest of jewels to one-of-a-kind parties, great vacations and incredible deals on items donated by local merchants.
The HSOG provides generous financial and volunteer support to the Symphony and to music education programs. During the Guild’s 54 years of service to the Orchestra, the Guild has raised over $6.6 million, approximately half raised by Crescen-Dough. Members of the Guild have volunteered in excess of three-quarters of a million hours supporting the Symphony and music education programs. Please make plans to join us for next year’s Crescen-Dough Auction on April 15, 2016!
