The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra Guild was officially established in 1960. Its purpose is, in cooperation with the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, to engage in educational and promotional activities designed to further the purposes and support of the HSO; and to contribute to the educational, cultural, and musical development of the youth and adult citizens of this area; and to aid and support the HSO by gifts and fund-raising activities to accomplish this purpose.
At its 50th Anniversary, the Guild had raised in excess of $6 million and had volunteered more than 726,000 hours of service. Its services to the orchestra include:

- Prepare area fourth graders for the annual Young People’s Concerts »
- Coordinate the Young Artists Auditions »
- Present the Musical Instruments Tent at Panoply
- Our Painted Violin Society raises funds for the Annual Free Family Concert
- Support summer music camps through Ruth Cole Weber Scholarships
Administrative Support
- Assist HSO Staff »
- Assist with membership campaign
- Provide refreshments to Orchestra members during rehearsals
